Zach Freeman was named Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Athletic Communications in July 2009. Prior to coming to Lancaster Bible, Freeman taught one year of English at Prospect Grove High School, a high-school for at-risk youth in Lancaster, Pa.
Freeman served as the chair-person for the North Eastern Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors from June 2014 to June 2016. Freeman is a member of CoSIDA and has written for many publications throughout his collegiate and professional career, including The Intelligencer Journal in Lancaster, Pa. and Philly.com.
Freeman serves on the CoSIDA Awards Committee and is a district coordinator who judges publications from around the country. In addition to his roles in the athletic department, Freeman is also the co-advisor for the Lancaster Bible Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Since arriving in 2009, Freeman, along with the great staff of coaches and administrators at Lancaster Bible, has helped lbcchargers.com more than double its yearly visits and page views. During the 20181-9 academic year, nearly one million pages were viewed on www.lbcchargers.com
Freeman earned a B.A. in Journalism from Penn State University in 2008 and earned his M.S. in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from California University of Pennsylvania in 2015.
He and his wife, Leslie have two sons, Jack and Eli. In his spare time, Freeman likes to read, watch sports and be with his family.
