Season-by-Season Highlights
2021: After missing the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chargers returned to the pitch in 2021 under the leadership of Warren. The team got off to a fast start, winning four of their first five games, including a 2-0 victory over Immaculata. LBC went 5-3 in United East play, posting a shutout in each of their five victories. LBC earned the number four seed in the United East playoffs, eventually falling to the top-seeded Penn State Harrisburg. Under Warren’s guidance, four Chargers earned All-Conference Honors, including Kendal Ream who was named First Team All-Conference.
2022: Head coach Jake Warren and the Lancaster Bible women’s soccer team saw improvement in his second season as head coach for the program. The Chargers finished the 2022 campaign with a 10-7 record along with a 4-4 record in the United East. One player especially shined in her debut season as a Charger as Janae Bergey was the only player to earn All-Conference honors on the team with her spot on the First Team. After a season of ups and downs, the Chargers will look to keep on getting closer to success and pursue the coveted title of United East Champions.
2023: Warren and the Chargers squad started the season strong, winning their first eight of nine games including their first five games of the season. All eight wins were shutouts. Despite the strong start, the Chargers faced some critical losses towards the middle of the season, ending the regular season 9-7-2 overall and 3-2-1 in conference. The Chargers clinched the four seed in the United East playoffs, but ultimately fell to five-seed St. Mary’s (Md.) 3-0 in the first round. The Chargers were led by First Team All-Conference forward Kendal Ream, Rookie of the Year Isabella Eufemia, and Second Team All-Conference defender Janae Bergey.
