Second Half Surge Puts PBU over LBC

Lancaster, PA- The Chargers dropped their third on row on Saturday afternoon, losing to Philadelphia Biblical University 68-46. The loss drops to 5-12 on the year and 1-2 in the East Region.

Lancaster entered the break down eight to the Crimson Eagles. The major reason for the close margin was their ability to keep PBU's leading scorer, Dani Norton, to eight points on 2-11 shooting. Unfortunately for the Chargers, the nation's 5th leading scorer erupted for 18 second half points to propel the Eagles to the 20 point victory.

Once again, the Chargers had a disappointing night on the offensive end shooting 25.8% and a season low seven percent from three point range. Cindy Blough (Friedens, PA) led Lancaster with a team high13 points. Lacy McClaine (New Bethlehem, PA) was the only other Charger to reach the double figure mark. Sophomore guard Christine Maher (Westminster, PA) missed a double-double by one point with nine points and ten rebounds.

The Chargers will try to end their current their current losing streak on Monday when they travel to Eastern University for their game slated for 8:00 PM.
