Lancaster, PA- In the first round of regional playoffs, Lancaster put together a superb second half to take care of Valley Forge Christian College, 55-40. The win puts the Chargers in the East Region Championship game for the first time since 2003.

The visiting Patriots started off hot leading by as many as six in the first half. The Chargers took control late in the period with a 10-1 run to enter the break up 26-22.

The Chargers weathered Valley Forge's run midway through the second half quickly expanding their lead from four to 15 in less than four minutes. Lancaster put it on cruise control for the remainder of the game, winning 55-40.

Freshman, Cindy Blough (Friedens, PA) went six for eight from the line on her way to a game high 14 points and three steals to lead the Chargers. Sophomore, Vanessa Clemenson (The Dalles, OR) chipped in with 11 points off the bench. Forward, Meredith Wrightson (Silver Spring, MD) made her presence felt inside grabbing a team high eight rebounds.

The Chargers travel to Langhorne, PA to face Philadelphia Biblical University in the East Region Championship game on Friday at 7:00 PM.
