The Lancaster Bible women's soccer team completed a perfect weekend by posting its second straight shutout on Saturday as the Chargers defeated Gallaudet, 6-0 at Charger Field. Lancaster Bible blanked Wilson, 6-0 on Friday. Saturday's win propels the Chargers to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play.
Sophomore
Alyssa Wesner, who scored her first goal of the season on Friday, added two more on Saturday to go along with an assist. Freshman
Darian Marsh also scored twice for the Chargers, while freshman
Emily Beltran added a goal and an assist. Freshman
Rachel Kumher scored her second goal of the season as well, while goalkeeper
Kaitlyn Scheuing picked up a rare assist on Marsh's first goal.
Wesner opened the scoring 7:04 into the game and made it 2-0 just over four minutes later at the 11:46 mark. Beltran's sixth of the year made it 3-0 six minutes later and Marsh capped the first half scoring at the 39:03 mark. Kumher made it 5-0 with just under 26 minutes to play and Marsh's second of the day five minutes later ended the scoring.Â

The Chargers outshot the Bison (1-6, 0-4 NEAC), 34-3 and held a 10-0 edge in corner kicks.Â
Lancaster Bible returns to the field on Saturday when they host Cairn at 12:30 p.m. as part of Lancaster Bible's Homecoming festivities. The Highlanders came into Lancaster last October and stunned the Chargers, 4-0 in the NCCAA East Region Final. Lancaster Bible had won the regular season tilt, 6-0 and both teams will be looking to prove their game wasn't the fluke last season.
