The Lancaster Bible women's basketball team completed a perfect road trip on Saturday as the Chargers upended Gallaudet, 51-35 in Washington, D.C. Lancaster Bible went 5-0 on its five-game trip and has now won eight straight games overall. On Saturday, the Chargers were led by

Katy Stover as the big three had 42 of the Chargers' 51 points.Â
The host Bison took an early 8-3 lead just three minutes into the game, but over the next eight minutes Lancaster Bible used a 20-5 run to turn the five-point deficit into a 10-point lead. Gallaudet would cut the deficit to three points with six minutes remaining in the half, but the Chargers maintained their lead and held a 29-23 advantage at halftime.Â
Lancaster Bible owned the second half as the Chargers opened the half on a 12-2 run over the first 4:30 and the defense limited Gallaudet to just five buckets and 12 points the entire half. The Chargers took their biggest lead of the game on a jumper by Smith with 11:34 to play as they led 45-27 at that point. Both teams struggled down the stretch as a total of eight points was scored over the last 10 minutes between the two teams.Â
Folger finished with a game-high 17 points and 17 rebounds for her 12th double-double this season. Smith had 12 points and 11 boards for her 10th double-double of the year. Stover had 13 points, six boards and four assists as Lancaster Bible improved to 13-3 overall and 11-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play.Â

Rachel Steinbarger said. "I thought Meaghan played really well defensively as well and I thought as a team we made a statement with today's win."
Kirsten Webster added three points, five rebounds and four assists to help Lancaster Bible improve to 7-0 all-time against the Bison. Gallaudet was led by Zamica Gage who had 14 points and 11 rebounds.Â
Saturday marked the eighth time this season the Chargers have held an opponent under 50 points and the second straight game they have allowed 35 or less.
"It was great to win all five games on this road trip and we have put ourselves in a good spot in conference play," Steinbarger said. "We are excited to host Abington on Tuesday and look to keep playing well."
Lancaster Bible returns to the court on Tuesday when it hosts Penn St. Abington at 6 p.m. The game is a showdown between the top two teams in the NEAC South Division. Abington defeated the Chargers, 66-64 on January 10 in Abington, Pa. The winner of Tuesday's game will have the inside track to the NEAC South Division title.
