The Lancaster Bible men's soccer team's win streak is alive and well as the Chargers took down Gallaudet, 3-1 on Saturday in the nation's capital to extend the streak to five games and the team's unbeaten streak to six. Lancaster Bible is now 8-2-3 overall and 5-2-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play.Â
How it Happened: Lancaster Bible controlled play throughout the first half as the Chargers outshot the Bison, 11-2. Senior
Josiah Groff got the Chargers on the board 17:45 into the game as he took a feed from fellow senior
Nathan Grimley off a free kick and directed the ball past the Gallaudet goalkeeper. The goal was Groff's 10th of the season, while the assist was Grimley's first of the 2015 campaign.
The score remained the same until the 71st minute when Gallaudet's Conrad Baer got the first ball past Lancaster Bible goalkeeper
Josue Bosque in a week to tie the game at 1-1. The goal snapped a scoreless streak of 303 minutes for Bosque and put the Chargers in the frustrating position of having dominated the game, but having little to show for it.
Sophomore
Edward Bills restored the Chargers' one-goal lead 10 minutes later as he converted Groff's pass into his third game-winning goal of the season. Groff put the game away with 46 seconds to play as he scored off a pass from freshman
