The Lancaster Bible men's volleyball team lost its third straight match on Tuesday night as the Chargers were swept by New Jersey City, 3-0 in Jersey City, N.J. The Gothic Knights (2-1) defeated Lancaster Bible, 25-14, 25-20, 25-16. The loss drops the Chargers to 1-6 this season.
On Tuesday, Lancaster Bible sophomore
TJ Forsythe had a team-high eight kills and three aces, while senior
Nathan Diehl added five kills and seven digs. Freshman
Justin Stoltzfus had a team-high 10 digs and
Caleb Strite chipped in with two blocks. Senior
Paul Fulbright had 16 assists, while sophomore
Derek Bigley had two kills to go with six digs and an ace.
Daque Wilcox had a match-high nine kills for New Jersey City. The Gothic Knights are now 7-2 all-time against the Chargers.
Lancaster Bible returns to the court on Saturday when the Chargers host a tri-match that features NAIA Bluefield and Cairn. The Chargers will play Bluefield at 1 p.m., while the Rams will take on Cairn at 3 p.m. Lancaster Bible and Cairn will wrap-up the day at 5 p.m.
