The Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team saw its six-game winning streak come to an end on Wednesday in Selinsgrove, Pa. as the Chargers lost to Susquehanna, 4-1. The loss drops the Chargers to 12-5 overall, while the River Hawks improved to 12-4.Â
How it Happened: The teams battled back-and-forth for the opening 20 minutes and Susquehanna finally got onto the scoreboard at 19:48 when Emily Sullivan scored her sixth goal of the season. The Chargers continued to play well throughout the rest of the first half, but Susquehanna was able to double its lead at 36:12 when Geena Ragozine netted her second goal of the season.
The Chargers finally got on the board and trimmed their deficit in half at 54:18 when senior
Alyssa Wesner fired a perfect shot into the upper right-hand corner for her ninth goal of the season. The River Hawks regained their two-goal lead less than six minutes later when Grayclynn Juckes scored her third goal of the year at 60:01.Â
Just under 12 minutes later, Susquehanna scored again and dealt the Chargers their first loss in October.
