The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team lost its final game of the season on Saturday as the Chargers fell to Cazenovia, 12-7 in Cazenovia, N.Y. The loss eliminated the Chargers from North Eastern Athletic Conference playoff contention and Lancaster Bible finishes the season with a 6-10 overall record and a 3-6 mark in conference play.
How it Happened: Lancaster Bible junior
Myranda Kemrer opened the scoring 39 seconds into the game to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead, but Cazenovia scored the next four goals to grab a 4-1 lead 10 minutes into the game. Kemrer scored her second of the game 12 minutes into the contest and completed the hat trick just over 20 minutes into the game to cut the Chargers' deficit to 5-3.Â
The Wildcats scored the final two goals of the half to take a 7-3 lead into halftime and began to pull away early in the second half as Cazenovia scored three of the first four goals. Senior
Alyssa Wesner, playing in her final game in a Lancaster Bible uniform, scored three times in the second half, while Kemrer added her fourth, but it was not enough, and the Chargers' season ended in Upstate New York.
