For the second time in three days, the Lancaster Bible College men's soccer team lost a one-goal game, despite playing well against a very good opponent. On Monday, it was Penn St. Harrisburg who clipped the Chargers, as the Nittany Lions scored late in the first half and made the goal stand up the rest of the way and the Chargers fell to 3-4-1 this season. Penn St. Harrisburg improved to 7-3 with the victory.
The Big Moments:

Vann Sutphin made two saves in the first 7:30 of the contest for the Chargers
-Off a corner kick with just over 10 minutes left in the first half, Christian Schmoyer took a cross and deposited the ball into the net for his second goal of the season

Rama Mugisha hit the crossbar and narrowly missed tying the game for the Chargers
-Lancaster Bible had a chance to tie the game as time was running out, but senior
Spencer Lockard's header was saved by Penn St. Harrisburg goalkeeper Josh Myers
By the Numbers: Penn St. Harrisburg outshot the Chargers, 18-7, but just 3-2 in shots on goal...Sutphin made two saves for the Chargers...The Nittany Lions had seven corner kicks, while the Chargers managed just one...Seven different players registered one shot for the Chargers.
The Coach Says: "It's frustrating when you defent well for most of the game, but then one mistake on a set piece is all the difference, but that's soccer," Lancaster Bible Head Coach
Tom Ardt said. "We need to be more detail oriented, both in attacking our opponent's goal and defending our own. We need to be more mentally focused each match as conference play starts on Wednesday and we are excited for the challenge."
Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 15-12-1 all-time against Penn St. Harrisburg...This was the first meeting between the two schools since the start of the 2014 season, when Penn St. Harrisburg also won by a score of 1-0.
