The Lancaster Bible College men's soccer team dropped to 5-6-1 overall on Wednesday, after losing to Rutgers-Camden, 2-1 in Camden, N.J. The Raptors, winners of eight straight games, improved to 11-3-1 overall.

Game Recap: The Raptors recorded a corner kick and a shot in the opening three minutes of the game, but the Chargers answered with two straight corner kicks over the next 4 ½ minutes. Rutgers-Camden took advantage of their next scoring chance at 17:22 however, as Kaito Kitazawa scored his first goal of the season off a cross from Chris Taraska.

The Chargers had scoring chances of their own midway through the first half, but the Raptors made it 2-0 at 36:35, after Vergil Douglas scored his first goal of the season, while Michael Buchy and Elliott Cumba picked up assists.

Trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Chargers stormed out of the gate in the second half, and cut their deficit in half when
Chad Tolson picked up his third goal of the year off a feed from
Jared Jordan at 53:25.

Lancaster Bible pressed for the equalizer for the final 35 minutes, but couldn't tie the game.
Dan Bewersdorff and
Kedric Yoder had chances with just over 10 minutes remaining, but Bewersdorff's shot was saved, and Yoder's went high.

The Coach Says: "We started the game extremely slowly, and on our heels," Lancaster Bible Head Coach
Tom Ardt said. "Thankfully, the guys changed their approach, and after the break, we were much more aggressive to step and close them down. We'll need to start strong every game the rest of the season, and we are excited to be playing at home this Saturday in a big conference matchup."
