The Lancaster Bible College men's soccer team punched its ticket to its second-ever North Eastern Athletic Conference Final on Saturday, as the Chargers dominated Penn College, 4-1 in the NEAC Semifinals in Abington, Pa. The victory improves the Chargers to 12-6-1 this season, while the Wildcats' season ends with a 7-8-3 mark.

The Chargers will take on top-seeded Penn St. Abington on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the NEAC Final, as the Nittany Lions are looking for their second straight NEAC title.

Game Recap: Lancaster Bible controlled the game from the opening whistle, providing all of the game's offensive chances. After two shots and a corner kick, Lancaster Bible got on the board at 16:07, as
Joel Hughes scored his third goal of the year off a feed from
Jared Jordan. Jordan crossed the ball to the right post and Hughes was there to put it in the back of the net and give the Chargers a 1-0 lead.

Sophomore
Rama Mugisha doubled the Chargers' lead to 2-0 at 32:38, as Hughes picked up an assist this time to help give the Chargers some insurance. After getting his defender to turn around, Mugisha found the lower right-hand side of the net for his fourth goal of the year, as the Chargers took the 2-0 lead into halftime.

Lancaster Bible began pouring it on early in the second half, as sophomore
Chad Tolson scored his seventh goal of the year at 51:50. Tolson took a deflected ball and put it in on the right-side of the net to give Lancaster Bible a 3-0 lead.

After a few offensive chances for the Wildcats midway through the half, Lancaster Bible re-took possession, and after a scramble in front,
James Ludovic collected a loose ball and scored the first goal of his collegiate career to make it 4-0 at the 69:34 mark.

Penn College would score a late goal at 82:32, as Collin Klinger netted his first goal of the year, but Lancaster Bible held off a few more late offensive chances from the Wildcats, and earned the 4-1 victory.

Jake Deterline made two saves for his 11
th victory of the season...Saturday was the third time this season the Chargers have scored four goals in a game, and the second time they have had four different goal scorers in a game.

The Coach Says: "I was very confident we would be sharp today after the strong week of practice the guys put in," Lancaster Bible Head Coach
Tom Ardt said. "We came out on the front foot and scoring twice in the first half was huge, but approaching the second half with the same urgency was even better."

On the Team's Play: "We were able to cause some problems for Penn College by pressing them high and dealt with their services out of the back pretty nicely," Ardt said. "The chances we created, we put away and we are thankful to be in the final tomorrow."
