The Lancaster Bible College women's basketball team opens its 47th season on Thursday night at Penn St. Harrisburg, as the Chargers will look to advance to the North Eastern Athletic Conference Playoffs for the eighth straight season. Lancaster Bible will also look to extend another streak, and win the NEAC South Division for the seventh straight year.
Â
To accomplish those goals, the Chargers will have to blend five returners, including three starters, with six newcomers, and navigate a non-conference schedule that see them play tough teams from the region, as well as a 16-game conference slate that features strong teams up and down the landscape.

Team Notes
-Eight of the team's first 11 games are at Horst Athletic Center
-Lancaster Bible began 6-7 last season before winning 11 of 12 to close out the regular season…The Chargers will look for a quicker start this season due to all of the home games early in the year
-Lancaster Bible outscored teams by 178 points last season…+95 in the first half, +91 in the second half
-Chargers need to have stronger 3-point shooting this season, as they only shot 30% from beyond the arc last season…The team did great job defensively on 3-pointers last season, limiting teams to just 26% from 3-point range.
-Lancaster Bible was 8-5 at home last season, 8-4 on the road, and 1-0 in neutral site contests
-Both Goyak (887 points) and Hickey (966 points) should topple the 1,000-point mark for their careers this season…There are currently 11 players in program history who have scored 1,000 points or more.
