The Lancaster Bible College women's basketball team won its fourth straight game on Saturday afternoon, as the Chargers, led by junior
Caitlin Hickey's career-high 33 points, defeated Wells, 67-42 in Aurora, N.Y. The Chargers are now 7-15 overall and 5-8 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Express dropped to 3-19 overall and 2-11 in conference action.

How it Happened: Wells opened the game on a 4-0 run, as the Chargers were held without a basket over the first 2:18 of the contest.
Caitlin Hickey and
Mekenzie Smith changed that for the Chargers however, as the two combined for a 10-0 run over a 2:27 span, and gave Lancaster Bible a six-point lead. The Chargers led 18-14 after 10 minutes of play, as Hickey and Smith combined for 16 of Lancaster Bible's first quarter points.

Lancaster Bible began to pull away midway through the second quarter, as Hickey continued to make shot-after-shot for the Chargers. Her 3-pointer with 6:32 left in the half gave Lancaster Bible a 27-16 lead, but Wells wouldn't go away, and the teams exchanged baskets for the remainder of the half, as the Chargers led 36-26 at the break.

Wells cut the Chargers' lead to nine early in the third quarter, but the Express went cold from the floor, and Lancaster Bible took full advantage, as Hickey and
Becca Lucente hit back-to-back 3-pointers, and gave the Chargers a 42-27 lead with 5:36 left in the quarter. The Express cut the Lancaster Bible advantage to nine with just over two minutes to play in the third quarter, but the Chargers used a 10-1 run over the last two minutes, and built an 18-point lead after 30 minutes of play. Hickey had all 10 points of the run, and had 31 of her 33 points over three quarters of play.

Lancaster Bible continued to expand its lead throughout the fourth quarter, as
Kylie Murray's layup with 5:41 to play gave the Chargers a 62-42 advantage.
Christine Graves gave the Chargers a 67-42 lead with just under four minutes to play, and capped the scoring with a layup.

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible shot 52 percent (26-of-50) from the field, including 9-of-19 from 3-point range…The Express shot 28.3 percent (13-of-46) from the floor, and just 1-of-16 from beyond the arc…Hickey finished with 33 points on 13-of-21 shooting, including 5-of-10 from 3-point range…Smith added nine points on 3-of-5 shooting, while

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 10-1 all-time against Wells, as lone loss to the Express continues to be the upset in the 2014 NEAC Final, when Wells defeated the top-ranked Chargers, 67-60 at Horst Athletic Center…After beginning the season 1-5 on the road, the Chargers have now won two straight away from Horst Athletic Center…Hickey's 33 points are the most in a contest for the Chargers since
Aubrey Folger ('16) also had 33 points, accomplishing the feat in a 77-44 win over Bryn Athyn…Hickey's previous career-high was 29 points, which she has accomplished twice in her collegiate career…Katy Stover ('16) holds the record for most points in a game with 43 in a victory over Penn St. Berks on Dec. 3, 2014.
