The Lancaster Bible College women's tennis team won its fourth consecutive match on Tuesday, as the Chargers defeated Rosemont, 6-3 at Hempfield Rec Center in Landisville, Pa. The Chargers are now 4-2 overall this season, while Ravens dropped to 3-4.
 
How it Happened: Lancaster Bible jumped out to an early lead, taking all three doubles matches by identical 8-2 margins. The No. 1 doubles team of 
Greta Strunk and 
Michaela Dearborn earned the win, as did the No. 2 team of 
Haylee Fishel and 
Kayla Hubbard, and the No. 3 team of 
Sarah Wetzel and 
Kenedi Berkhimer.
 
Strunk continued her strong start to the season with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles, while Dearborn dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 2 singles. Fishel dropped a tough match at No. 3 singles, falling to Chase Leonard, 2-6, 7-6 (5), 10-6. Hubbard won easily at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0, while Wetzel suffered a 6-1, 6-2 setback at No. 5 singles. Berkhimer added another win to her season total with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles.
 
Information Hodge Podge: Tuesday marked the first-ever meeting between the two schools…Lancaster Bible is now 3-1 at home this season…Hubbard is 5-1 in singles play this season…The four-match winning streak ties a program-record with the 2017 squad that won four in a row from Mar. 31 – Apr. 9.
