The Lancaster Bible College women's basketball team picked up its first North Eastern Athletic Conference victory of the season on Sunday, defeating Wells, 58-40 at Horst Athletic Center. The win propels the Chargers to 3-9 overall and 1-2 in NEAC play, while the Express dropped to 0-12 overall and 0-3 in conference play.

How it Happened: After taking an early lead, Lancaster Bible let Wells back into the contest, as the Express tied the game at 6-6 with 5:19 remaining. It was all Chargers from that point however, as Lancaster Bible scored the final 14 points of the quarter, and led 20-6 after 10 minutes of play.
Lizzy Tilton had two 3-pointers during the run, while
Caitlin Hickey added a triple as well.

Wells snapped a seven-minute scoring drought early in the second quarter, but Lancaster Bible extended its lead to 17 on a 3-pointer from Tilton that made it 26-9 with 5:52 to play in the half. Hickey's layup with 1:45 remaining in the half expanded the lead to 32-13, and the Chargers eventually led, 32-14 at halftime.

The Chargers' advantage grew to 21 midway through the third quarter, and Lancaster Bible extended it further to 46-23 on a 3-pointer from Hickey with 2:28 remaining in the frame.

Wells played tough for 40 minutes and wouldn't let the Chargers expand the lead any further, though Lancaster Bible maintained a lead in the high teens and twenties for the entire fourth quarter.

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible shot 36.1 percent (22-of-61) from the floor, including 7-of-24 from 3-point range…Wells shot 36.4 percent (16-of-44) from the field, but was 8-of-22 from the free throw line…Tilton led all scorers with 21 points, and also added four rebounds and four assists…Hickey had 17 points, five rebounds, and three assists, while
Alaysha Iwais had six points, five rebounds, and four assists to go with six steals…Lorissa Parks had 16 points to pace the Express.
