It's been over a season since the Lancaster Bible College women's basketball team had a North Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week, and the person who ended the streak, was also the last person to earn the honor, as senior Caitlin Hickey earned NEAC Player of the Week honors for her strong two games last week.
 
Hickey, who previously earned the honor on November 12, 2018, helped the Chargers to two huge NEAC South Division wins last week, as Lancaster Bible defeated Gallaudet and Penn St. Abington.
 
In Wednesday's win at Gallaudet, Hickey had 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range, and also chipped in with five assists and four rebounds. Hickey then added a team-best 18 points in Lancaster Bible's 60-56 victory over Penn St. Abington, who came into the game as the NEAC South Division's top team. Hickey also added eight boards and two assists against the Nittany Lions, as the Chargers improved to 3-4 at home this season.
 
Through 16 games this season, Hickey is averaging 15.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Hickey's 85.7 percent (48-of-56) shooting from the free throw line is the second-best mark in the NEAC.
 
The Chargers return to the floor on Wednesday when they host Penn College at 7:30 p.m.
