The Lancaster Bible College women's basketball team picked up its first win of 2020 on Monday evening, defeating Penn St. York, 73-32 at Horst Athletic Center. The victory propels the Chargers to 2-7 overall this season, while the visiting Nittany Lions dropped to 2-8.

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible jumped out to an early 6-2 lead thanks to back-to-back 3-pointers from senior
Caitlin Hickey, and the Chargers eventually led 12-4 after another bucket from Hickey with 2:59 to play in the opening quarter. A late jumper from
Paige Towne gave the Chargers a 15-4 lead with 41 seconds to play, though two free throws with under 30 seconds to play from Penn St. York's Sky Warner cut the Lancaster Bible lead to 15-6 after 10 minutes of play.

Penn St. York scored the first basket of the second quarter to make it a 15-8 lead in favor of the Chargers, but Lancaster Bible would score 18 of the quarter's final 21 points, and end the first half with a 33-11 advantage.
Mikayla Via capped the 18-5 second quarter with a 3-pointer for the Chargers, as Lancaster Bible took its largest halftime lead of the season.

Lancaster Bible turned it up another notch in the third quarter, outscoring the Nittany Lions, 30-9.
Lizzy Tilton's 3-pointer with 7:34 remaining put the Chargers ahead, 43-13, and another triple from Via with 2:55 left gave Lancaster bible a 53-20 advantage. Lancaster Bible ended the quarter on a 15-0 run, which
Adalyn Steiner capped with a layup with one second to play, and the Chargers led, 63-20 after 30 minutes of play.

Hannah Lieb connected for baskets late in the fourth quarter, and the Chargers cruised to their first home victory of the season.
