The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team ran its winning streak to seven matches on Friday afternoon, as the Chargers swept a doubleheader from NAIA Cornerstone (Mich.). The victories propel the Chargers to 9-3 this season, as they won, 3-0 in both matches.

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible raced out to a 9-2 lead in the opening set, as
Elijah Herb had two kills. The Chargers eventually built a 19-8 lead on an ace from Herb, and
Kole Horst extended the lead to 22-9, before
Caleb Roberts secured the first set with a kill.

Cornerstone took a quick 4-1 lead to open the second set, but Lancaster Bible responded with five straight points, as Horst had two kills. Lancaster Bible took six of seven points midway through the frame, and opened a 13-9 advantage after a Golden Eagles error. The Chargers continued to build their lead, and won the set on an ace from
Zac Keating.

The teams exchanged points to begin the third set, but Lancaster Bible took five of six points, and led 10-7 after a kill from Roberts and a Cornerstone error. The Chargers won four of five points late in the frame, as
Konrad Martin had two kills and an ace. The Golden Eagles made a late charge in the set, but Lancaster Bible fended it off, and Martin sealed the victory with a kill.

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible began the first set the way it did during the first match, as the Chargers opened up an early lead and led, 6-1 after an ace from Herb. Lancaster Bible won six of seven points midway through the set as well, and took a 14-5 lead after a kill from Roberts and a Cornerstone error. The Chargers closed out the set with a kill from Herb and took a 1-0 lead.

Lancaster Bible earned four straight points early in the second set as well, and led 9-4 after an ace from Flahive and a kill from Horst. Lancaster Bible pulled away even further later in the set, as the Chargers rattled off 12 straight points for a 22-8 advantage. Flahive, Herb, and Horst each had two kills during the run, while Kemrer added an ace.
Kevin Koch ended the set with a kill, as the Chargers took a 2-0 lead.

Lancaster Bible led 13-6 midway through the third set after two Cornerstone errors sandwiched around another kill from Koch, but Cornerstone made things interesting down the stretch, and trailed just 21-20 after a kill from David Rodriguez. After a service error by the Golden Eagles, Roberts and Flahive combined for a block, and Flahive put another "W" in the win column for the Chargers with a kill to end the match.
