Lancaster Bible College is celebrating 50 years of basketball during the 2021-22 season, and on Saturday, February 5, 2022 the college will honor players from all 50 years during a luncheon and prior to the men's and women's basketball contests against Penn St. Abington.
 
In addition to honoring those who have played basketball over the past 50 years, a 50^th Anniversary Basketball Team was also chosen by a panel of Lancaster Bible College staff. The Lancaster Bible College 50^th Anniversary Women's Basketball Team is a collection of players who have had an impact not only on the court, but off the court as well. They have won championships and individual awards, but also used their platform to advance the gospel and show Christ to those around them.
 
The 10 women chosen for the team have amassed 13,617 points combined, roughly 25 percent of all the points ever scored by the Lancaster Bible College women's basketball team. They are NCCAA All-Americans, NEAC Players of the Year, NCAA Division III statistical champions, and conference and region champions. They have paved the road for the players of today, and we are honored to have them represent the college as part of celebration of 50 years of basketball.
 
The Lancaster Bible College 50^th Anniversary Basketball Teams will be honored prior to the men's basketball game on Saturday at 1 p.m. If you can't make it to Horst Athletic Center, the event will be broadcast live on the Chargers Sports Network.
