Lancaster Bible College Women's Basketball squad lost their first game of the Terry Greene Tip-Off Tournament 55-42 against the hosts Franklin & Marshall. The Chargers start off 1-1 on the year, and the Diplomats win their first game of the season to begin 1-0.

How It Happened:Â After starting out in a six-point deficit early in the first quarter, senior guard
Alaysha Iwais nailed a three to give the Chargers their first points of the game. Sophomore
Raven Hunter tacked on two more following a finish in the paint, but the Diplomats held the Chargers scoreless for the remainder of the quarter and led 19-5 at the end of the period. Lancaster Bible continued to struggle offensively early in the second quarter, but a layup from Hunter got things rolling as the team went on an 11-3 run to close the gap to just an 18-24 game. The two sides traded buckets late in the second period, and Franklin & Marshall held onto their lead 28-22 going into the half.

The Diplomats bounced back in the third quarter following the scoring spurt from the Chargers in the second as they had a 12-2 run through the first seven minutes of the quarter. However, the Chargers behind Hunter's three free throws put together a 7-2 run to end the quarter trailing 31-42. However, Franklin & Marshall quickly answered in the fourth quarter outscoring Lancaster Bible 10-1 through the first five minutes.
Rachel Nolt and others made a late push, but it wasn't enough as the Chargers fell 55-42 to the Diplomats.

Rachel Nolt is currently averaging a remarkable 13.5 rebounds per game, a pace that would set her at 337 rebounds this season which would be the ninth-most in a single season.
Raven Hunter is having an impressive debut season as a Charger as the team's leading scorer with 19 points per game.
