How It Happened:Â Lancaster Bible came into its season finale with a high motor. Junior guard
Alaysha Iwais started off hot after making her first two baskets, getting the Chargers five of their first six points two minutes into the first quarter. Abington would crawl back and take the lead, but after her third steal,
Sydney Heller nailed a three to bring the Chargers back, only trailing by one point with four minutes remaining in the first. Iwais kept rolling to hit another three with one minute left in the quarter, and Lancaster Bible was able to finish the first quarter with a 14-12 lead.

In the second quarter, the Chargers kept fighting as senior
Mikayla Via drilled a three to give the team a 20-17 lead just over two minutes into the second. Lancaster Bible showed off some grit in the second quarter getting to the free throw line and finishing some contested layups as they went on an 8-2 run in a span of just over four minutes, six of those points coming from Heller. To cap off a great second quarter from the Chargers, Via nailed another three with a minute left, and Lancaster Bible would go on to have a 31-25 lead going into halftime.
Â
Lancaster Bible started the second half off on a strong 5-0 run in the first minute behind a three from
Jenna Dombach. The Chargers fought hard on the defensive side of the ball, allowing only two points to Abington over six minutes into the third quarter. With only eight seconds left in the third, Via hit her third three-pointer of the game as the Chargers finished the quarter with a 48-36 lead over the Lions.
Â
With seven minutes of play remaining, Dombach made a layup to get herself into double digits off a steal from junior forward
Faith Hammond and bring Lancaster Bible a 50-39 lead. Heller was able to get to the free-throw line for the eighth time, and after making a pair of shots, the Chargers had an 11-point lead halfway through the final quarter. At the final buzzer, the Chargers reigned victorious over the Lions with a 63-48 win.
