The Lancaster Bible women's lacrosse team traveled to Delaware Valley on Saturday afternoon to match up with the Aggies, falling by a score of 18-7. The Chargers move to 0-2 overall as the Aggies pick up their first win.

How It Happened: The Aggies scored the first goal of the game just thirty seconds into the start of the game and added one more before junior
Katelynn Perrotta scored her second goal of the season and first of the game at the ten-minute mark. The Aggies responded with a goal of their own to give them a 3-1 lead until sophomore
Lindsey Weaver scored her first goal of the season off a free position shot with just 20 seconds remaining in the first period.

Kassandra Horning tied the game at 3-3 for the Chargers off an assist from Weaver three minutes into the second period. Then Perrotta scored her second goal of the game at 11:26 to give the Chargers their first lead of the season. The Aggies finished the second period scoring four goals while the Chargers had two more goals from Weaver and Perrotta.

Down 7-6 and beginning the second half, the Aggies scored early to give them a two-point cushion until Perrotta found the net once again to bring the deficit back within one point. The Aggies went on to score four more unanswered goals to end the third period with a 12-7 lead. The Aggies managed to keep the Chargers scoreless in the fourth period while scoring five more goals of their own to run to an 18-7 win.

By the Numbers: The Chargers were outshot 37-18… the Chargers had 15 shots on goal to the Aggies' 27… the Chargers recorded nine saves and the Aggies had eight… Perrotta had a team-high four goals and Weaver had two goals… Horning added one for the day… Susan Rawding had a game high seven goals for the Aggies and Kyra McKeegan had 10 assists.

Up Next: The Chargers are on the road for another non-conference contest against Cairn on Tuesday, February 28 before traveling back to Lancaster for their home-opener versus Alliance on Friday, March 3.
