The Lancaster Bible College softball team competed in their last home doubleheader of the 2023 season, falling twice to the Lions of Penn St. Harrisburg. The Lions won the first game 6-0 and the second game 2-1. The Chargers fall to 8-24 overall and 4-18 in conference, while Lions improve to 21-11 overall and 13-5 in conference.

Game One, 6-0 Loss

How It Happened: The Chargers were unable to get anything across the plate, but managed to hold the Lions scoreless until the 5
th inning, where the Lions scored three runs to take the lead. In the final two innings, the Lions scored three more unanswered runs to win the game, 6-0.

By the Numbers: The Chargers had six hits, one walk, and two stolen bases… the Lions had 11 hits for six runs and five RBIs…
Phoebe Clemens went 3-3, while senior
Adalyn Steiner went 2-3… Kierstyn Smith had two hits and three RBIs for the Lions.
Game Two, 2-1 Loss

How It Happened: Looking to cap off senior day with a win, the Chargers held tight, allowing only two Lions runs in the 2
nd inning. Despite the tough defensive play, the Chargers were unable to get much from the plate, but in the bottom of the 5
th inning,
Phoebe Clemens hit a inside-the-park home run to bring the game within one run. Despite having a few runners on base in the final two innings, the Chargers couldn't pull off the upset and the Lions took home the second game win 2-1.
