The Lancaster Bible College women's lacrosse team traveled to Cresson, Pa. on Saturday to compete in their final United East Conference game of the regular season against the Mount Aloysius Mounties. The Mounties climbed past the Chargers, 13-9. Following the loss, the Chargers fall to 3-11 overall and 2-3 in conference while the Mounties improve to 4-7 overall and 3-2 in conference.

How It Happened: The Chargers ended the first period with a 2-1 advantage over the Mounties. The Chargers were led by
Katelynn Perrotta who had the first two goals of the game while the Mounties added one goal.

The Mounties opened the second period to tie the game at 2-2, but Perrotta struck again for her third goal of the game and 32
nd of the season just 50 seconds later. That goal was assisted by teammate
Katelyn Lemaszewski. Again, the Mounties responded to tie the game at 3-3 but the Chargers rattled off two more goals, another one from Perrotta and freshman
Kassandra Horning's first of the game to jump out to a 5-3 lead. Despite the scoring from the Chargers, the Mounties scored three more goals that the Chargers were unable to answer. The Mounties held a 6-5 advantage head into halftime.

The Mounties scored another to open the second half leading to their biggest lead of the game thus far. Perrotta scored another to bring the Chargers within one then senior
Kym Kouterick followed it up to tie the game at 7-7. However, the Mounties scored four more in the third period while the Chargers only scored one goal falling 11-8.

The Chargers opened up the fourth period with life as Kouterick got her second of the game on an assist from Perrotta, but it wasn't enough as the Mounties scored two more leading to a 13-9 Chargers defeat.

By the Numbers: The Chargers had 26 shots with 19 on goal… the Mounties had 30 shots with 21 on goal… the Chargers picked up eight saves while the Mounties had 10… the Chargers picked up 21 ground balls and the Mounties grabbed 33… the Chargers held the advantage in draw controls 18-7.

Up Next: The Chargers have earned a big to the United East Championships next weekend held at St. Mary's (Md.) with the day and time still yet to be determined.
