The Lancaster Bible College Women's Tennis team battled with Johnson & Wales Charlotte Tuesday afternoon and picked up their first victory of the season. The Chargers secured the victory in an abridged match-up 5-2. The Chargers move to 1-2 overall while the Wildcats move to 3-5.Â

Jania Weist earned the 8-6 victory before
Sierra Hartmann/
Natalie Hoover won 7-3 in the tiebreaker after finishing 7-7.Â

On the singles side, the Chargers earned the victory in the three matches completed. Steckbeck and Weist won their respective matches by identical scores of 7-5 and 6-0. Hartmann earned her victory through three sets (6-7 (3), 6-4, 10-6). Two singles matches were unfinished due to rain. The Wildcats earned their team points through forfeits by the Chargers.Â
