The Lancaster Bible men's and women's cross-country teams were in Langhorne, Pa for the Highlander Invitational Saturday morning. The event would consist of a total of 26 different colleges participating. The men would finish in 8
th place while the women's team would secure a 1
st place finish.
The men's team would include a total of seven different Chargers competing in the 8k distance. The first Charger to cross the finish line would be
David Helms at 28:14.1 giving him a silver medal, second place finish.
John Spackman would cross at 32:35.8 finding himself in 32
nd place.
Victor Hanley and Jay Royal would be the next Chargers to finish at 34:07.2 and 34:29.6, giving them 43
rd and 50
th.
Kingsiah Oquendo would place 88
th with a time of 38:32.3. The final two Chargers to cross would be Dustin Franz and
Caleb Woods at 40:40.6 and 48:54.9. The team would end with a score of 207.
The women's team would include six different Chargers competing in the 6k distance. Earning a bronze medal, third place finish would be
Seana Dougherty at 25:22.4. Quickly following her would be 4
th and 5
th place finishers
Abby Ames and
Cadee Cameron with times of 25:44.0 and 25:49.4. The next Charger to finish would be
Shawna Donough crossing at 29:06.1 giving her a 23
rd place finish.
Rosa Johnson would cross the line at 31:10.9 landing her in 35
th place. In 75
th place would be Faith Garber with a time of 40:22.1. the Chargers would earn a score of 62.
