The Lancaster Bible College Women's Tennis team cruised to their fifth United East Conference win of the season on Tuesday night with a 6-1 win over Cedar Crest to improve to 8-7 overall and 5-2 in conference. The Falcons move to 1-6 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
The Chargers grabbed five out of the six singles matches with the lone loss coming due to forfeit.
Sierra Hartmann led the day with a 6-1, 6-0 win before
Jania Weist gritted out a 7-6, 6-2 win in the second slate.
Natalie Hoover and
Susannah Clawser earned comfortable wins while
Becky Dimov toughed out a 7-6, 6-4 win.
In doubles play, the Chargers picked up two key doubles wins beginning with a 6-2 win at the top slot by Hartmann and Hoover. Clawser and Weist followed the performance with a 6-3 win of their own.
