The Lancaster Bible College Softball team ended their 2025 season on Saturday afternoon at home with a conference sweep of Gallaudet, winning 19-4 and 7-0. The Chargers finish the season at 16-18 overall and 6-10 in conference while the Bison finish at 5-29 overall and 2-14 in conference.
Before the game, LBC Athletics and LBC Softball took time to recognize this year's seniors for their contributions to the program and their great college careers. This year's departures include graduate student
Phoebe Clemens and senior
Kylee Cole.
Game 1: 19-4 Win (5 inn.)
How it Happened:
Gallaudet got on the board first with a run in the first inning, but the game was all but decided in the bottom frame as the Chargers put on a clinic with 12 total runs, sending 17 batters to the plate and stealing nine bases in the inning. Freshman
Maggie Kwiatkowski hit a RBI-double to center field to get the scoring going, then stole home to make it 2-1. Graduate student
Phoebe Clemens stole home as well, then freshman
Keira Price blasted a two-run home run to make it a 5-1 ballgame. Sophomore
KariAnn Mecke scored on an error and Clemens drew a bases-loaded walk to keep it going, then Kwiatkowski stole home again while freshman
Ila Rowatti followed suit, then Mecke hit a single to score Price to wrap up an astounding 12-run first for the Chargers.
The Bison plated three runs in the second inning, but that would be all as it was all Lancaster Bible for the rest of the game. In the bottom of the second, Clemens hit a double to drive in sophomore
Riley Danko, then Rowatti drew a walk and Kwiatkowski scored on a wild pitch. Price hit a sacrifice fly to score Clemens as the Chargers took a 15-4 lead after just two innings. In the third, junior
Amelia Huey was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score a run, then Danko scored on a wild pitch for 17 LBC runs. Clemens drove in senior
Kylee Cole on a single and Price hit another sacrifice fly, ending the scoring there as the Chargers closed out the dominant victory in five innings.
By the Numbers:
- The Chargers scored a season-high 19 runs on 13 hits with one error, while the Bison managed four runs on three hits with two errors

Information to Know:
This was the Chargers' highest run total of the season with 19 and their ninth 10-run game of the season. The Chargers' 10 stolen bases in game one ties a season-high and is their 11th game of 2025 with at least five stolen bases.
Game 2: 7-0 Win
How it Happened:
Both teams struggled to drive runs in as neither team scored through the first three innings, with the Chargers going down 1-2-3 in back-to-back frames. LBC broke the drought in the fourth inning as
Phoebe Clemens hit a one-out triple to center field, setting up
Ila Rowatti for a RBI-double to put the Chargers up 1-0. After a scoreless fifth inning, the Chargers piled on in the sixth with six runs, starting with a wild pitch that allowed freshman
Danielle Wilson to score.
Maddison Atkins hit a two-run triple in the next at-bat, making it a 4-0 lead before junior
Amanda Hoover followed it up with a triple of her own, scoring Atkins. The scoring for the day ended with
KariAnn Mecke blasting a two-run home run, her first of the season as the Chargers secured the 7-0 victory and the series sweep.
By the Numbers:
- The Chargers plated seven runs on seven hits with two errors, while the Bison were held scoreless on three hits and committed one error

Information to Know:
The Chargers finished 2025 with 16 victories, one short of their program record of 17 wins set during the 2022 season where they finished 17-23 overall. The Chargers matched their win total in conference play from last season with six, going 6-10 this year while finishing 6-14 in 2024. LBC ended the season on a five-game winning streak, their longest of the season and their longest since April 26-30 of 2022 when they won six straight to end the season.
