Chargers' Home Opener Spoiled by Spartans

The Lancaster Bible College women's soccer team faced off against York on Thursday, September 11 as the Chargers would fall 3-0. This would mark the first home game of the season as the Chargers move to 2-2 and the Spartans improve to 4-2 on the season.

How it Happened:
The Spartans wasted no time getting settled into the game, as three minutes in they would record two shots on goal, both forcing saves by Charger's goalkeeper Ana Pinieski. The Charger's would respond with a Janae Bergey shot off the post in the eighth minute, this would be the Charger's only shot of the half. The Spartans would take back to the offensive recording three more shots, including two on goal. They would finally breakthrough in the 20th minute with a goal, followed up by another goal in the 24th minute to take a 2-0 lead into half.
The Spartans would continue this offensive pressure into the second half, as a 49th minute goal would extend the lead to 3-0. The game would finish all York as they would send off seven more shots, including two on goal, while Lancaster Bible's Samantha Perloni would fire the only shot of the second half in the 77th minute.
