Chargers Fall at Home to Lebanon Valley

The Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer team hosted Lebanon Valley on Wednesday night at the Donald H. Funk Field at Willis & Martha Herr Stadium, losing by a score of 0-3 after a pair of early goals set the tone. The Chargers fall to 2-3 overall while the Flying Dutchmen improve to a perfect 6-0 overall.

How it Happened:
The Flying Dutchmen pounced on the scoreboard 37 seconds into the game as a loose ball in the box was headed around and punched in for a score. About a minute later, Lebanon Valley connected again on a goal past goalkeeper Ana Pinieski, who had to leave the game shortly after as they took a 2-0 lead in the first two minutes. Junior Amelia DePaul came in to replace Pinieski, making a pair of saves around 25 minutes into the match as Lebanon Valley kept up the pressure. The Chargers drew a corner kick at the 30-minute mark, with junior Isabella Eufemia taking a shot that was blocked just outside the box. Junior Samantha Perloni had a shot on a free kick that missed wide, then the half came with the Chargers down two scores.

The Flying Dutchmen drew two corner kicks early in the second half, then were able to punch in another goal from outside the box that just got behind DePaul's hands, padding the lead to three scores. Senior Leah Perreault got a shot to go outside the box that was saved, then as the half went on both teams rotated their lineups frequently as the game ended in a 3-0 defeat for the Chargers.

By the Numbers:
- The Flying Dutchmen dominated possession and had 11 shots to the Chargers' five
- Sophomore Zoe Beers took a team-high two shots for the Chargers
- Amelia DePaul came into the game with four saves for LBC
- Jayme Beninda, Alison Sepkovic, and Kalei Noonan were the Lebanon Valley goal-scorers
