The Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer team won their second straight game on Monday afternoon as they took down Gwynedd Mercy on the road 2-1 with a goal in the final minute of play. The Chargers improve to 2-1 overall while the Griffins fall to 2-3 overall.

How it Happened:
The Chargers forced the ball down the field early with four shots as senior
Leah Perreault put two shots on goal that were saved by the Griffins' keeper. A foul by Gwynedd Mercy in the box made way for a Chargers penalty kick as senior
Janae Bergey stepped in, knocking the shot through for her second goal of the year to give the Chargers the early lead. The LBC defense kept the Griffins without a shot on goal in the first half as they took a 1-0 lead into the break.

Lancaster Bible came out firing again in the second half as three different players had a shot on goal with the Griffins' Natalie Gablein holding strong. The teams traded hard shots later in the half, then Gwynedd Mercy broke through with a goal in the 70th minute to tie the score at 1-1 and up the pressure on both sides. LBC dialed up the shots with five in the next seven minutes with two corners, with GMU hitting three shots with two corners of their own. The Chargers stepped up in the final minute as sophomore

Zoi Whitsett, putting the Chargers up 2-1 with 52 seconds remaining and sealing the last-minute victory for Lancaster Bible on the road.
