The Chargers responded with three in a row themselves including a service ace by Carson Hoover (Jr.), then stayed within two points as Zeke Clark (Jr.) landed a solo block. The teams then traded 12 straight volleys before a 4-1 spurt by Roberts Wesleyan, with late kills by Clark and Bryant not enough as they closed out a 25-18 set-one win.

It was Roberts Wesleyan who led early in the second set as they began on a 6-1 run, then the Chargers closed the gap to three after two kills by Braden Escover (Fr.) LBC then took five of six points in the middle of the set as Devin Galloway (Jr.) had a kill and an ace to pull within one point at 12-11, then the Redhawks separated with three in a row. The lead became five for Roberts Wesleyan at 19-14, but the Chargers had a late three-point burst as Bryant and Timothy Fletcher (So.) combined on a block to pull within one again. The Redhawks, however, took three of the final four points to win set two 25-22.

The teams alternated on the first eight points of set three before the Chargers pulled ahead 6-4, then extended their lead to four at 11-7 after a kill and an ace by Clark. Galloway and Escover combined on a block for a five-point lead, but Roberts Wesleyan powered back into the set with five straight points to tie it at 14-14. The Chargers tried to pull away again as they scored three straight, but another quick run by the Redhawks tied it at 21-all late. Taking four of the final five points, Roberts Wesleyan swung in front to secure a 25-23 set win and sweep the Chargers.
