The Lancaster Bible College Men's Volleyball team traveled to Morristown, N.J. on Wednesday night to take on Saint Elizabeth in United East action, cruising to a three-set sweep on the road. The Chargers improve to 10-10 overall and 3-0 in conference while the Eagles fall to 1-11 overall and 0-4 in conference.
How it Happened:
The Eagles began with a 3-1 lead before three straight kills by the Chargers got them the lead, then the Eagles responded with three more. A block by
Kevin Bryant (Jr.) sparked another three-point burst to swing LBC back up 7-6, then after four straight tie scores the Chargers went up by two after two kills in a row by Bryant.
Carson Hoover (Jr.) got two kills and a service ace close together later on to extend the lead, then after some trading back and forth the Chargers closed out the first set 25-19.
The Chargers got off to a 5-1 start in set two as
Zeke Clark (Jr.) started it with a kill and an ace, then a big run of six points by the Chargers including two blocks by
Nicholas Marion (Sr.) put LBC up 11-2 early on. Saint Elizabeth then won four of the next five points, but another five-point burst with three service aces by Clark extended the gap to 11 points at 20-9. The Chargers closed quick as they finished off set two 25-12.
With the score tied 3-3 in the third set, the Chargers got three in a row including an ace from
Braden Escover (Fr.), then three more in a row featuring two kills by
Jacob Snyder (So.) put LBC up five.
Tyler Allen (Fr.) then landed an ace on a four-point LBC run, then another run of five made it a 12-point margin at 18-6. The Chargers closed strong as a kill by
Gabe Dressler (Fr.) ended the set 25-10 and sealed the conference sweep for Lancaster Bible.
By the Numbers:
- The Chargers dominated in both kills 40-13 and service aces 12-2, while the Eagles landed eight blocks to the Chargers' five

Information to Know:
The Chargers improve to 10-0 all-time against Saint Elizabeth and are back at .500 this season after playing a challenging non-conference schedule early on. The Chargers are now 3-0 in United East play this season and have won their last 23 matches in conference play since rejoining in 2023 and have won their last 46 consecutive conference matches dating back to the 2017 season.
