The Lancaster Bible College Men's Volleyball team took on Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Monday night, sweeping the match 3-0 as the Chargers finished the regular season unbeaten in United East play for the fourth straight season, wrapping up the top seed in the playoffs. The Chargers enter postseason play at 15-11 overall and 8-0 in conference while the Cannoneers end the season at 5-14 overall and 2-6 in conference.

How it Happened:
The Chargers got off to a 4-0 start in set one with two early kills by Braden Escover (Fr.), then used another four-point run to extend their lead to 10-2. Carson Hoover (Jr.) and Nicholas Marion (Sr.) added kills in the middle of the set, then the Chargers closed with the last 10 straight points in the set as Zeke Clark (Jr.) landed four service aces on the run, racing to a 25-7 opening-set victory.

Kevin Bryant (Jr.) tallied three blocks early in set two as the Chargers led 5-1, then the teams traded points throughout the middle of the set as the Chargers and Cannoneers each picked up kills. The Chargers separated with a four-point run including a kill and an ace by Clark to go up 15-9, then three separate three-point runs by LBC delivered them a 25-15 set-two win with kills from Marion and Clark and back-to-back aces by Hoover to close it out.

The Chargers raced to another early lead in the third set as Jacob Snyder (So.) picked up two kills and Escover landed an ace en route to a 7-1 start. Pratt responded with a run of four points, but LBC responded with three straight including an ace by Tyler Allen (Fr.) to lead 11-6. The Cannoneers pulled within two after three straight LBC errors, but after two kills by Clark, the Chargers went on a six-point run to boost their lead to 10, then closed out the 25-14 set win and the match sweep to finish off the unbeaten regular season in conference play.
