The Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer team traveled to Chambersburg, Pa. to take on Wilson in United East action on Tuesday afternoon, earning a 1-0 shutout victory. The Chargers improve to 3-4-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the United East while the Phoenix drop to 2-9-1 overall and 1-1 in the United East.
How it Happened:
The Chargers earned a corner kick in the two minutes of the game, but the Phoenix quickly turned it around and fired a shot that missed wide. After another Wilson shot, the
Rayanna Wagaman (Fr.) had a shot to the left of the goal that was saved, then several minutes later,
Erin Mood (Fr.) got free on the offensive end for a shot to the middle that was also saved. After a wide shot by
Amelia DePaul (Sr.), the Chargers had a quick spurt of three shots with Wagaman taking two (one on goal) and
Zoi Whitsett (Sr.) missing left for some LBC pressure on goal. About ten minutes later,
Allie Zuber (Jr.) had pair of shots with one being saved by the keeper, then Wagaman pressured the goal again with a saved shot and hit the crossbar several minutes later on a good chance. As the clock ticked under five minutes in the half, Zuber collected a loose ball and found
Leah Iman (Sr.) on a lead pass, shooting past the goalie to connect on a score for the Chargers for the 1-0 lead that they took into the halftime break.

Jade Weir (Gr.) and Wagaman had shots on goal in the first three minutes of the second half, then
Hailey Siedman (Fr.) had an early save in goal before a pair of LBC corner kicks led to three shots by Wagaman with one being saved.
McKenna Snavely (So.) and
Madison Duggan (Fr.) each had shots shortly after, then both Duggan and Wagaman had wide attempts on goal within a corner kick opportunity. After a Wilson shot was blocked, both
Chloe Donaldson (Sr.) and Iman had chances on goal that were saved by Wilson's goalie, then Duggan had another shot attempt on a break that was deflected. The Phoenix had a couple of late shots, but the Chargers held on to secure the 1-0 road victory for their first United East win of the season.

This was the 14th matchup all-time between Lancaster Bible and Wilson, with the Chargers leading 13-1 in the series after today's win. The Chargers are unbeaten through two conference games for the second straight year and have won all three of their games this season in shutout fashion. After starting 0-4, the Chargers now have a four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1) for the first time since September 20 through October 7 of last season.
Alexa Sick recorded her first career win and first career shutout in goal for the Chargers and
