2025:Â Dawson Forney started 29 of the Chargers' 31 matches in his final season, leading the team in several ways as an offensive threat. He led the team in points per set at 3.47, ranking sixth in the United East and third in total points at 329.5. He knocked 271 kills on the year for second-most on the team with a .227 hitting percentage, reaching double-figures 13 times with a career-high 23 kills on January 15 against #14-ranked Misericordia. Dawson had two double-doubles on the year with a career-high 15 digs against Elizabethtown on January 29 with 10 kills as well. Forney had six kills, four blocks and three aces in his final game in the NCAA Tournament Second Round against Messiah. He earned two conference Offensive Player of the Week honors in 2025 and was named to the United East All-Conference 1st Team for the second straight year. Dawson finished his career with 938 total kills and over 1,000 career points, also with 182 blocks and 374 total digs in his four years with the Chargers.
2024:Â Forney played in 26 of LBC's 29 matches in his junior year, starting 23 times and leading the team in kills with 223. His kill total was enough for second in the United East and his .279 hitting percentage was third in the conference among qualified players. Forney reached double-digit kills in 12 matches, posting his first career 20-kill game in a five-set home win over Stevenson on April 5. He also had 16 blocks and 28 digs on the season with a team-leading 232 total points. His season earned him a spot on the United East All-Conference 1st Team and two conference Offensive Player of the Week awards.
2023:Â Dawson Forney played in 29 matches for Lancaster Bible in 2023, improving on his previous season overall. He was second on the team with 231 kills and 2.22 kills per set, posting double-digit kills in nine matches on the year. Dawson had a career-high 19 kills against Olivet Nazerene (Ill.) in the NCCAA National Invitational on January 27 and went for seven blocks on January 18 in a win over Arcadia. Forney was named to the CSAC All-Conference 2nd Team for his sophomore campaign.
2022: Forney made an impact in his first season with the Chargers, playing and starting in all 27 matches. He racked up 213 kills, which was third most for the Chargers, hitting at a clip of 23.1%. Forney also knocked 14 service aces and dished five assists on offense. On the defensive side, Forney had 105 digs and had the second-most blocks for the Chargers with 47, including six solo blocks. Dawson had a season-high 14 kills on two occasions, one of them coming in a 3-1 match win over Medaille College on January 22.
