The 2013-14 season will be Surguine's sixth season as a coach for the women's basketball team. Surguine was a student assistant his junior and senior years at LBC before becoming an assistant coach for the 2010-11 season.
After playing on the LBC men's basketball team his freshman and sophomore years, Surguine transitioned to coaching and has never looked back. His ability to plan practice, study game film and get the ladies prepared to play has made him a key asset for the women's basketball program and helped them win the 2012-13 NEAC Women's Basketball Championship and appear in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in program history.
During the summer of 2012, Surguine worked at basketball camps at West Chester University, Towson University and the University of Maryland. In 2013, Surguine once again worked at the University of Maryland and also gained valuable experience at American University and the University of Notre Dame. Surguine and LBC Head Men's Basketball Coach Marshall Tague also ran a camp at Lancaster Bible College in 2013.
Surguine is a 2010 graduate of Lancaster Bible College. He and his wife, Amanda, were married in March 2011 and currently reside in Lancaster, Pa.
Surguine enjoys watching basketball and is an avid University of Maryland fan.
