Hunter Gerber was officially hired as the Director of Athletic Communications in August of 2023. Some of his responsibilities include gameday operations, livestream and statistics, oversight of student-workers, management of website, and social media management. He also serves on campus as a LeadNow mentor, helps lead the Chargers Leadership Institute, and is the staff representative for Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
During the 2022-23 academic year, Gerber served as the interim Sports Information Director and Graduate Assistant for the Men’s Basketball team. Gerber has continued to work with the Men’s Basketball team as the Lead Assistant.
Gerber is an alum of Lancaster Bible (’21 & ’23) receiving his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and his master’s in Youth & Young Adult Ministry. While serving as a Graduate Assistant, Gerber worked closely with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes running summer camps and hosting student-athlete meetings on campus.
Gerber is in his third year as the full-time Sports Information Director focusing on developing the student-worker crew, athletics website, social media accounts, and overall production of the athletic department experience.Â
Gerber will be married his wife, Kendal Gerber (Ream), in April of 2025. Ream is also an alum (’23) and former Women’s Soccer player. She teaches Health & Physical Education at Solanco High School.
