Mina is headed into his ninth year as an assistant coach serving in the high school arena, for the Chargers, and two years with the Genessee Rapids in the NYCBL. While leading the developmental team for the 2023-24 season, Mina will serve as the recruiting coordinator for the Chargers program.
He attended Wilkes University where he was a part of the baseball team. After graduation in 1981 Joe had a 30-year career in Law Enforcement at the Hartford County Sheriff's Office in Bel Air, Md. In his time with the police force, Mina earned the rank of captain before retiring in 2012. He now serves as an adjunct professor at Lancaster Bible College in the Criminal Justice program.
Joe has been married to his wife Teresa for 40 years, has two children, and three grandchildren and lives in Forest Hill, Md.
