Chargers Drop Road Match at Lycoming

The Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer team traveled to Williamsport, Pa. to face Lycoming on Wednesday afternoon, falling by a score of 5-0 on the road. The Chargers drop to 0-2 overall while the Warriors get their first win of the season and move to 1-2 overall.

How it Happened:
The Warriors got on the board quickly as they scored on their first shot just over five minutes in, taking the early 1-0 lead. A few minutes later, Rayanna Wagaman (Fr.) fired a shot that just missed high before Lycoming responded with a shot on goal that was saved by goalkeeper Saige Santa Cruz (Jr.). The Chargers drew the game's first corner kick that led to a shot wide by Jade Weir (Gr.), then about 10 minutes later, Isabella Eufemia (Sr.) took a shot on goal that was saved by the Warriors' keeper. Lycoming struck again in the 30th minute to extend their lead, then the Warriors had four more shots towards the goal before finally adding another goal. Allie Zuber (Jr.) had a shot on goal in the final seconds that was saved, sending LBC into the break down three.

A LBC foul in the first 30 seconds of the second half led to a penalty for Lycoming, punching it through to make it a 4-0 game. Wagaman and Madison Duggan (Fr.) each had shots in the second half to pace the Chargers, but the Warriors proved too much for Lancaster Bible as they added a fifth goal with nine minutes to play and won by that score.
