The Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer team hosted their first official home game of 2026 on Monday afternoon as they welcomed #13-ranked Swarthmore, falling by a score of 5-0. The Chargers drop to 0-3 overall while the Garnet improve to 3-1-1 overall.
How it Happened:
After an early corner kick, the Garnet opened up the scoring with two quick goals in the first 12 minutes, then followed with two more shots before the 20-minute mark. They continued to dominate possession throughout the first half, holding Lancaster Bible without a shot in the first period as they went into halftime with a two-goal lead.
The Garnet had two early shots off-target before the third carried in for a score, extending their lead to 3-0 about six minutes into the second half. The Chargers then had a good offensive series of about five minutes with four total shots, started by header from
Rayanna Wagaman (Fr.) off a corner kick that was batted away and followed by a narrow miss by
Emily Murawski (So.) off the near post. Murawski then fired another shot on goal that was saved, then
Jade Weir (Gr.) launched a deep shot that carried out left. Both Murawski and
Isabella Eufemia (Sr.) each had shots on goal a few minutes later that were handled by the keeper, then Swarthmore buried two more goals in a five-minute stretch to build their lead to 5-0 as they would go on to win by that score.

Information to Know:
The Chargers are now 0-3 all-time against Swarthmore with their most recent matchup coming back in September of 2013. Swarthmore was the first of three ranked opponents this season on the Chargers' schedule (pre-season poll), all three being at home. This is the Chargers' first 0-3 start to a season since 2018 and their longest combined losing streak (6 games) since the final game of 2016 and first five games of 2017.
