Lancaster Bible College Athletics

The Lancaster Bible College Women's Soccer team took to the road as they traveled to Annville, Pa. to face Lebanon Valley on Wednesday afternoon, losing by a score of 5-0. The Chargers drop to 0-4 overall while the Flying Dutchmen improve to 2-3 overall.
 
How it Happened:
Lebanon Valley had three quick shots before scoring in the first three minutes on a break to the goal, taking the early lead. A little over ten minutes in, Jade Weir (Gr.) fired a shot on goal to the left that was saved, then on the other end, the Flying Dutchmen drew a corner without a shot, but responded a few minutes later with another score to take a 2-0 lead in the first 20 minutes. Over the next few minutes, Rayanna Wagaman (Fr.) fired a pair of shots on goal to right side, both narrowly saved by the Flying Dutchmen keeper. The Chargers fended off three corner kicks and five shots as the half progressed, taking a two-goal lead into the break.
 
After two saves by Saige Santa Cruz (Jr.) for LBC, Madison Duggan (Fr.) had a shot that missed wide before a shot on goal by Samantha Perloni (Sr.) was saved to the right by Lebanon Valley. Within the next five minutes, Lebanon Valley added two more scores off nifty passes as they quickly increased their lead to 4-0. The Flying Dutchmen tacked on another goal in the final five minutes, going on to take the 5-0 victory at home.

Information to Know:
This was the Chargers' second matchup against the Flying Dutchmen all-time, playing for the first time last season in Lancaster, Pa. with Lebanon Valley winning both matchups. This is the Chargers' first 0-4 start since the 2017 season and their first time going four straight games without a goal scored since the final game of 2017 and the first three games of 2018.
