Women’s Volleyball Tame Lions

Lancaster, PA- Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team beat Penn State Harrisburg in three exciting sets (26-24, 25-22, 25-17) Tuesday night. With the win the Chargers improve to 6-9 on the year and 6-4 over the last ten matches.

 

Lancaster played sound defense and had their highest attacking percentage on the year in the solid win. The Charger offense was led by junior middle hitter Lauren Miller (Elizabethtown, PA) with ten kills on the night. On the outside senior Hannah Noble scored nine kills and junior Jill Ferguson (Lititz, PA) recorded a season high six kills.

 

Defensively, the Chargers had three players with double digit digs along with seven blocks. Freshman libero Lauren Hurd (Ellendale, PA) led the team with fourteen digs, along with Elissa Hunsberger's (Norristown, PA) thirteen and Jill Ferguson's twelve. Sophomore middle hitter Katie McAllister (Etters, PA) had an impressive four solo blocks on the night.

 

The Chargers return to action on Thursday, hosting Valley Forge Christian College and Philadelphia Biblical University at 4:00 and 8:00pm.
