Cresson, PA - Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball dropped to 0-3 after their opening weekend at Mount Aloysius College. On Friday night, the Chargers lost season opener to Lycoming in three sets (24-26, 14-25, 20-25). Early Saturday LBC lost to Penn State Fayette in three as well (15-25, 12-25, 22-25). The Chargers were able to rally to go up on host Mount Aloysius 2-1 before the Mounties rallied back to win in five sets (12-25, 25-19, 25-22, 18-25, 10-15).
Despite the outcomes of the scoreboard, third year head Coach Lauren Mable remains optimistic and is encouraged by the improvement through the weekend demonstrated by team confidence and hard work. Mable was also excited to use multiple line-ups, which shows greater depth than in previous seasons. Coach Mable summed up the weekend as, “encouraging for players and coaches, and looking forward to a promising season.”
Chargers look to bounce back as they host Delaware Valley at 3:00 pm this Wednesday, September 3rd.
