Lancaster, PA- The men's basketball team (6-7) repeated their current trend, Monday night. The trend is to take a lead going into halftime lose the lead in the second half only to take back the lead and win in the final minutes. With the comeback victory against Penn State Brandywine 55-52, the Chargers have won three straight.
Eric Nulf (Fayetteville, NC) gave the Chargers a boost off the bench in the first half, going a perfect 4-4 from the field and 2-2 from deep for 10 points. Nulf coupled with the fact they held their opponents to 6-30 shooting, helped Lancaster take a 28-24 lead going into halftime.
The Lions didn't waste anytime taking the lead 30-28 at the 18:13 mark. It was a back and forth battle with 11 lead changes and 6 ties until Carl Edwards (Baltimore, MD) converted a pick and roll with Kevin Keltner (Menomonee Falls, WI) to go up 53-52. Edwards was sent to the line where he hit both free throws to put the game out of reach.
Eric Nulf's team high 13 points picked up the slack for Charger's leading scorer Billy Harrison (Douglassville, PA) just had one of those nights going 3-12 from the floor for a season low 8 points. For the second game in a row Carl Edwards finished one rebound shy of a double-double with 10 and 9 boards. Kevin Keltner went 6-6 from the line on his way to 11 points. Nagbae Saylee dropped a game high 14 points for the Lions.
