Lions Kill Charger’s Three Game Winning Streak

Middletown, PA- The Charger's three game winning streak came to an end Wednesday night, at the hands of Penn State Harrisburg 98-84. With the loss, Lancaster's record drops to 6-8 on the year.

 

The Chargers struggled in the first falling behind by 21 twice before rattling off seven straight to cut the halftime deficit to 47-33. The Lion's kept Lancaster at arm's reach never letting them closer than 6, 65-59.

 

After a rough start, senior Billy Harrison (Douglassville, PA) finished with 22 points on 9-19 shooting to lead the Chargers. In the loss, Kevin Keltner (Menomonee Falls, WI) filled his stat line with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. In only 21 minutes of play, forward Carl Edwards (Baltimore, MD) scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.

 

Lancaster could not find an answer for the Lion's Kenton Alston's presence on the offensive boards. Alston grabbed 11 rebounds (6 offensive) and torched the Chargers for 30 points. Three other Lions finished with double figures, Cole McGuire 18, Brian Ongeri 17, and Shane Woodman 14.

 

The Chargers return home on Saturday to Face Delaware Valley College at 3:00 PM.
