The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team wrapped up their regular season on Saturday, dropping both matches of a tri-match held at Washington College.
In the opening match against McDaniel College (17-10), the Chargers couldn't match the Green Terror's precise hitting and lost 3-0. The game scores were 25-12, 25-19, 25-11. McDaniel had 39 kills on 94 attacks, a .298 attacking percentage. The Chargers could only muster 18 kills.
Sophomore
Elissa Hunsberger lead LBC with nine assists, nine digs and four kills. Fellow sophomore
Brittney Becker added 10 digs.
Against the host, Washington College, the Chargers (15-15) picked up the attacks, hitting 32 kills, but couldn't overcome the Shorewomen and fell 3-0. Washington (10-14) won 25-15, 27-25, 25-22. Senior
Lauren Robertson led the Chargers with 10 kills and two digs. Becker added 23 digs, while freshman
Jenae Almas had four aces to go with her seven kills and seven digs.
LBC will play Valley Forge Christian in the East Region Semi-Finals on Saturday at noon. The match will be held at Philadelphia Biblical. The winner gets PBU in the East Region Final to be played later in the day.
