The Lancaster Bible College women's basketball team opened its season Tuesday night with a loss to Penn State-York, falling 43-34 in York, Pa.
The game was tied 30-30 with eight minutes to go, before the Lady Lions went on a 13-4 run to end the game.
"We played solid defense throughout the game, but we simply had too many turnovers on the offensive end," Charger Head Coach Bob Shannon said.
Cindy Blough led the Chargers with seven points, while
Kelly Long added six points. As a team, the Chargers shot 36% from the field.
The Chargers are back in action on Friday when they take on Cedar Crest in Allentown, Pa at 7:00 p.m. The game is part of the Cedar Crest Tip-Off Tournament. LBC (0-1) will take on an opponent to be determined on Saturday.
